Professor Tero Kivelä Receives the ICO Ophthalmic Pathology Award

The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) has recognised Professor Tero Kivelä as the 2022 recipient of the ICO Ophthalmic Pathology Award.
Supported by the Gottfried and Lieselotte Naumann Foundation, this award is presented every 4 years to an esteemed colleague for their outstanding research and contributions to the field of ophthalmic pathology.
Prof. Kivelä is Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and Chief Physician and Head of Ocular Oncology and Ophthalmic Pathology at Helsinki University Hospital. A leader in international ophthalmology, Prof. Kivelä was nominated for the ICO Ophthalmic Pathology Award by his peers and selected by the ICO to receive this honor.
