Navigate Expands Medical Advisory Board
Navigate announced that James Katz, MD, and Caroline Watson, MD, have joined its Medical Advisory Board. Navigate says the additions will strengthen the company’s mission to help cataract surgeons grow their practices by introducing lifestyle vision education earlier in the patient journey.
Navigate’s model pairs cataract practices with trained human navigators who educate patients prior to their surgical consultation. The company says by giving patients a clear understanding of their vision correction options early in the process, surgeons are able to conduct more focused and productive clinical conversations, ultimately improving both practice efficiency and patient satisfaction.
James Katz, MD, is a nationally recognized leader in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery at The Midwest Center for Sight. He brings expertise in advanced cataract technologies and patient decision-making.
Caroline Watson, MD, a fellowship-trained cataract and refractive surgeon at Alabama Vision Center at the Range, Huntsville, Alabama. She brings experience in premium lens surgery and patient-centered care.
As members of the Medical Advisory Board, Drs. Katz and Watson will guide Navigate on clinical best practices, workflow optimization, and patient-experience strategy as the company expands its platform nationwide.
“Their insight will help us support surgeons who want to improve the patient experience and grow their practices,” said Joel Gaslin, President & CEO of Navigate. “We are thrilled to have their leadership as we scale Navigate’s impact across US cataract care.”
