Haag-Streit USA Inc. (Mason, OH) has upgraded its EyeSuite software with the i4.000 version. The new software enables doctors to interact with data from Haag-Streit’s Octopus Field Analysis and Lenstar LS 900. Physicians choose which examinations and fields to use, and an analysis of test results can be performed after an examination or in real time, even if the perimeter or optical biometer is in use. Data can also be accessed remotely from any PC that has i4.000 installed and has network connectivity. When used with the Octopus, the i4.000 software flags data that indicate significant disease progression or visual field loss. Unusual data from the Lenstar are also flagged, which directs users to look further into test results. In addition, Lenstar users have the ability to apply the “Shammas no-history” method for automatic calculation of IOL power in postrefractive eyes and can now capture five scans on both eyes in 2 minutes or less, according to a news release. Haag-Streit is currently providing the new software at no charge to existing EyeSuite customers.
