The Rock ‘n’ Roll phaco technique does not require the nucleus to be chopped or cracked. The technique’s name describes the special way the nucleus is turned 180º around its horizontal axis with the phaco tip, which is the key step in this method.

A NEW ENDOTHELIAL KERATOPLASTY TECHNIQUE

Dr. Agarwal demonstrates pre-Descemet endothelial keratoplasty (PDEK), which involves the transplantation of Descemet membrane, the endothelium, and Dua’s layer. A PDEK graft is harvested by the pneumatic dissection of the donor cornea through a type 1 big bubble. According to Dr. Agarwal, the technique, which does not require advanced equipment, results in early visual rehabilitation without interface changes. PDEK grafts can be harvested in donor eyes of all age groups.
