The RC-800 Auto Refractor/Keratometer (Tomey USA) incorporates an intuitive touchscreen with an automatic shot function that measures refraction and keratometry as well as the diameter of the cornea and pupil. For refraction, fogging is automatically applied for each measurement, and the keratometry measurements provide enough information for fitting contact lenses. The device also features a high-speed printer. Tomey USA will exhibit the RC-800 at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting in New Orleans.

Accutome has partnered with Keeler Instruments to distribute Keeler's portable slit lamps the PSL Classic and PSL One. The PSL's advanced optics offer 10x and 16x “flip lever” magnification with illumination control down to zero. Its backup facility ensures that power is never lost. The PSL One, a more cost-effective option, comes with one standard magnification of 10x. Both portable devices feature slit and wheels from 0.15 to 1.6 mm, a 12-mm circle, and a 1-mm square to produce anterior flare, thus aiding in the diagnosis of uveitis. The PSL Classic and the PSL One can also be used with an iPhone adaptor (Apple, Inc.) to take high-resolution video.
