Each fall, 3 weeks after the US Open, high-profile tennis players from more than 30 countries around the world travel to Albuquerque to participate in the Coleman Vision Tennis Championships, a tournament for professional female tennis players; matches are played on outdoor hard courts.
Sloane Stephens, winner of the 2017 US Open, is an alumna of the Coleman Vision Tournament. There were 21 players at the Australian Open this year who have played at the Coleman Vision Tournament.

Twenty years ago, my wife Erica and I started sponsoring the professional tour, which now feeds both our love of the sport and our desire to support the community. All proceeds from the Coleman Vision Tennis Championships go directly to the New Mexico Youth Tennis Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization whose sole mission is to provide education and opportunity to New Mexico youths through the sport. The foundation provides more than $10,000 annually in support of after-school tennis programs throughout the state and contributes to travel scholarships for promising young players.
