Preservative-Free Garamycin Ophthalmic Ointment
Fera Pharmaceuticals (Locust Valley, NY) announced the launch of preservative-free Garamycin (gentamicin sulfate) Ophthalmic Ointment for bacterial infections. Garamycin is indicated for the topical treatment of ocular bacterial infections, including conjunctivitis, keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, acute meibomianitis, and dacryocystitis, according to the company.

Galilei G2
Ziemer Group (Port, Switzerland) introduced the new Galilei G2 series of its optical anterior segment tomography system. It is based on Ziemer’s simultaneous Dual Scheimpflug/Placido 3D imaging concept. Its new highperformance computer system reportedly gives the Galilei G2 greater speed, computing power, and data storage capacity than the original unit. According to the company, the Galilei G2’s components have been redesigned to increase the quality of recorded data and to reduce measurement time, while its reconstructed worktable is designed to take up less space and improve productivity.
