The system includes new Variable Spot Scanning (VSS) ablation technology that uses beam diameters ranging from 0.65 mm to 6.5 mm. Ablations can be uniquely designed with the CustomVue system to include optical and transition zones beyond 9 mm. The CustomVue system also includes the ability to ablate a plastic disc called the PreVue lens with a wavefront ablation so that the patient can view the intended correction through a trial frame.
